Ben's Great Day
One day Ben was out helping with morning
chores and asked if he could run his dog in a Natural Ability
Test at our Hawkeye Chapters spring test. What was I to say? Knowing
that we have not spent any time with his young dog and wondering
how Ben could with stand a full day at the test and the tasks
that he would need to do. We decided if Ben was willing to try,
we would let him. I told Jodie that I was more nervous the night
before and the morning of the test, than I had ever been before,
wondering how we was going to make this happen.
We can't explain in words what happened that
weekend. Once again a great organization with great people came
together to help fulfill Ben's needs. This is by far the most
impressive and memorable prize or title that our kennel has ever
received. When you look at the true meanings of what happens when
people work together to help others achieve, anything can happen!
We hid behind our sun glasses yesterday to hide our emotions.
We can't begin to thank everyone involved with that day enough
for how they helped fulfill a young mans dreams. The next morning
as we were offering up our prayers Ben said "Thank you God
for giving me a wonderful day yesterday!"
The Prize I title goes out to the Judges,
Hawkeye Chapter, and the people who
made that such a very memorable weekend. Thank you from the Ries
family!
