Jaxon is out of the first Higgins
x Faith breeding and is a full litter mate of Henry. With the
assistance of Dave Troup and Top Gun's training program, Jaxon
earned his AKC Master Hunter Title at just under two years of
age, posting a record of six-for-nine. Jaxon is a pleasure to
hunt with as he possesses all of the natural abilities that are
inherent to a Top Gun dog: solid pointing, sharp retrieving,
close working, and water loving with an intense bird desire.
Jaxon has a drive, bird finding ability, strength, athleticism,
and intelligence that is unmatched by most GSP’s. At 65
lbs. he has the size and power to bust through even the most
formidable briar patch or thicket, along with having a stamina
that allows him to hunt all day. While Jaxon is primarily a personal
hunting dog, he has been used as a hunting preserve guide dog
and has had hundreds of birds harvested over him.
Although Jaxon
is an excellent hunting dog, his main role in life is family
pet and companion. Jaxon lives inside the house
and is great around children and other pets. He is just a suited
for car rides with the windows down and playful games of fetch
as he is tearing up the bird fields
